Recently, the Y-12 Federal Credit Union Gives Foundation awarded Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley with a $25,000 grant to implement our Food for Thought program including Healthy Habits Nutrition Program and Cooking Club, Gardening Club and The Summer Breakfast Program.
About the Y-12 Federal Credit Union Gives Foundation
On July 17, 2017, Y-12 Federal Credit Union formed Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation, which was founded to extend the credit union’s mission of “people helping people” into the philanthropic realm of charitable giving and support.
Y-12 Federal Credit Union CEO Mark Ziegler was instrumental in the formation of the Gives Foundation as he saw the positive difference a foundation can make in the local community at his former credit union. “We need to take care of the community we serve by serving the underserved. We have been successful as an organization and the right thing to do is give back to the communities”, said Ziegler.
