Why Boys & Girls Club: I chose Boys & Girls Clubs because I see the way children are easily influenced. I've always had a calling to mentor and work with children. With this opportunity I can continuously generate a positive environment and model to influence our Club! With my main background in youth sports, I knew this was my path to change and lead youth through each stage of life as they grow up. As a child I grew up in a military home as my mother was in the Air Force. I gained a lot of real-world experiences being the "new kid". I remember feeling left out of classes or groups. I made a promise to myself to impact kids in a way that no child ever feels exclusion. With that I strive to curate environments of safety and growth. I'm honored to be a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and to grow alongside our members every day.
