“Virtual learning at the Club is really helpful,” says 10 year-old Jayda, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Middlebrook Club. “It’s good for me to be able to be in a small group because it helps me to focus on my school work. I really like having my teacher online to walk me through the class, but the biggest thing is having a staff member right next to me at the Club, guiding me through everything and quickly answering any questions I have about my assignments.
When I’m not attending virtual school at the Club, I love going to the art room. My favorite thing to do in art is to form clay. It’s so nice to be able to take a big hunk of clay and form it into anything that I can imagine. It really gets my creativity going and I love seeing what I can create.”
