Meet Mackenzie

“I love to draw!” exclaims 8-year-old Mackenzie, a member of Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County. “Our arts and crafts room has so many nice art supplies, that it really allows me to be super creative. My favorite thing to draw would be pictures of my family doing fun things together.

Math is getting a little hard for me lately because we are learning about three-digit numbers. It’s nice that we have Power Hour at the Club, which is when I get to sit with a staff member and get help with my homework. Adding three-digit numbers can get complicated because you have to carry numbers over to the next column and if you forget to carry, then the answer is completely wrong!”
