Meet Lucas

“I’m new to the Club,” explains 8-year-old Lucas, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – DeBusk Family Club. “Everyone has been really nice to me and has made me feel like I belong here. I really like the food that they serve here – peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, and all sorts of other delicious stuff!

Miss Celine has some creative things going on in her room. Recently, we made some sensory bottles. You just put some water, glue, glitter, and pom poms in a bottle and turn it upside down and then back again – it’s very calming to watch the items float in the bottle. It has really helped me with my emotions and keeps me calm.”
