“The Club has some pretty yummy food,” says 6 year-old Maya, a member of Boys & Girls Club of Halls/Powell. “Breakfast is really good and I like it when we get muffins and milk! Lunch and snacks are good too! It’s fun sitting with my friends and eating together.
My parents are going to be so proud that I am the Youth of the Month. I always make sure to follow the rules, which are to listen to the staff, be nice to others, put stuff back where you found it after you’re done playing with it, and be respectful. I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is to treat others how you want to be treated.”
