Meet Brayden

“Gosh, sometimes my math homework is so hard,” says 9 year-old Brayden, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Clinton Elementary Club. “Right now in math we’re learning about fractions and equivalents. It can be very confusing for me trying to figure out the math problems.

When I arrive at the Club, I have the chance to ask a staff member to sit down with me to help with my homework. It’s great because they work with me and go as slow as I need them to, so that they can explain each step so that it makes sense to me. I always feel better about understanding math after I get tutoring help at the Club.”
