Meet Maverick

“Mr. Wendell always has the best science experiments,” explains 7 year-old Maverick, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Lake City Elementary Club. “My favorite experiment was making a rocketship. We had a string attached to a pole that Mr. Wendell held, and then we attached our rockets to it, which were made out of balloons and straws.

When I grow up I’d like to be a police officer. I think it’s important to keep everyone safe and that’s what I’d like to do. It’s my mission to keep bad people from doing bad things.”
