Meet Yahir

“I’m very proud that my drawing was selected as the artwork for the holiday card for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley this year,” states 12-year-old Yahir, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Vestal Club. “I worked very hard on my drawing and the inspiration behind creating this picture was really to work on blending my paint colors to create the illusion of a dark, cold winter sky. I’m also proud of how I was able to create some depth in the picture, like I learned in art class at my Club.”

When Yahir was asked what he would wish for if he was granted one wish for the world during the holiday season, he thought for a moment and then very quietly said “I would end world hunger. No one should ever have to be hungry.”
