Meet Alexis

“My parents are always telling me that they are so happy that I love coming to the Club,” explains 13-year-old Alexis, a member of Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County. “They say that they can relax knowing that I have someplace safe to go afterschool, and it allows them to work a little bit later.”

When Alexis was asked what she would wish for if she was granted one wish for the world during the holiday season, she thought for a moment and then very quietly said “I would wish that everyone in the world had someplace to call home. No one, no matter who they are, should be homeless – it’s just too sad to see people outside in the cold with nowhere to go.”
