“Gardening is so much fun,” exclaims 8 year old Addie, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – South Knoxville Elementary Club. “When our school closed early because of COVID-19, I noticed that one of the teachers at the school was coming in to take care of the garden. I thought it would be nice if I helped her out. We have a garden at my house and I’m happy that I learned how to garden at the Club, because now I can work on my garden at home. I can’t wait to collect all of the delicious tomatoes, lettuce, and carrots at the end of summer!
The Club is really fun and encourages us to be helpful to others and I always try to do my best. I’ve made lots of new friends at the Club and I’m excited for school to start, so that I can get all my new classmates to come to the Club after school every day!”
