Meet Giovanni

“The YouthForce program has been such an amazing experience for me,” says 19 year-old Giovanni. “I’ve had the opportunity to participate in YouthForce University, where I learned how to apply for jobs, answer interview questions, how to conduct myself while at my job – which included ensuring I was punctual, polite, and eager to learn. There was also a class where we learned how to budget our money once we started getting paid. After I completed YouthForce University, I was placed in a 60-hour paid internship at the Knoxville Convention Center, which was a great experience.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in the Entrepreneurship Camp and the Fresh Films Camp. These two camps have been great, because I hope to start my own business some day and either start my own clothing line or go into filmmaking and graphic design. I’ll be attending Pellissippi State Community College this fall on the TN Promise scholarship and I’m excited to see where the future takes me. But I know I have the tools to be successful because of the YouthForce program!”
