Meet Mia

“I have so many friends at the Club!” exclaims 8-year-old Mia, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – North Ridge Crossing Club. “Everyone here at the Club is so nice, especially Ms. Miracle – she’s my favorite staff member. She’s so nice and always makes sure that we have fun.

Today I made butter at the Club and then got to eat it and boy, was it delicious! I never knew it was so easy to make your own butter. I carefully poured some heavy whipping cream into a small glass jar, then added a marble. Once I made sure the lid was super tight on the jar, I shook the jar really good for about 2 minutes and then I put it in a bowl with lots of ice and let it sit in there for a while. When it was ready, I spread it on some crackers and enjoyed eating it!”
