Meet Cristian

“My very favorite staff member at the Club is Mr. Ja’son!” exclaims 8-year-old Cristian, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Lonsdale Elementary School Club. “He’s so nice and funny, and he always plans great things for us to do in the gym. I love playing soccer, football, and basketball at the Club and Mr. Ja’son teaches us the rules of each sport, helps us with our techniques, and works with us to be good team players.

This summer we learned about moon phases as part of our summer learning program. I think this was the best activity because we used Oreo cookies to learn about the different phases of the moon. The full moon showed the Oreo with all of the icing in the middle. When we got to the other moon phases, we were able to eat some of the icing – like the half moon, I loved being able to eat half of the icing!”
