Messer Construction Co. Foundation

The Messer Construction Co. Foundation will present a check to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley in the amount of $25,000. This generous donation will be used to renovate the Vestal Club’s Infuse Art Center, as part of BGCTNV’s new Youth Arts Initiative (YAI). This new initiative will allow youth at our Clubs the ability to participate in high-quality, research-based Arts programming in the areas of Visual, Applied, or Performance Arts. Participants attending the Infuse Art Center will be able to participate in programs, attend open studio time to participate in self-directed work and participate in culminating events in the community. At the Infuse Art Center, Club members and community youth will learn from paid, professional teaching artists. Infuse continues to elevate program offerings so that Club members have a forum to view themselves as real-world artists.

About the Foundation:

The Messer Construction Co. Foundation was created to administer multi-year gifts from the company and to provide a disciplined approach to larger gifts. The Foundation awards up to four $25,000 grants per year, and to date, $1.4 million in grants have been donated since its creation in 2005.

Grant recipients are sponsored by Messer employees, recommended by a committee composed of Messer employees, and approved by the Foundation Board of Trustees. The Foundation seeks to support organizations that advance the interests of society in the areas of economic inclusion, education and workforce development.
