Join us in celebrating our Youth of the Year Finalists!
December 11, 2024For over 75 years, the Youth of the Year program has celebrated the stories of teens across the country who inspire us with their leadership, service, and commitment to excellence. These remarkable young people embody hope and serve as role models, proving what’s possible with hard work, determination, and support from caring mentors. They remind us that every young person has the potential to lead, succeed, and inspire others.
Here at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley, the Youth of the Year program is one of the most exciting ways we showcase the talent, dedication, and potential of our incredible Club members. Each year, Clubs from Anderson, Blount, Claiborne, Knox, and Loudon Counties nominate outstanding teens to represent their Club in this prestigious program.
The journey for these nominees culminates in our Night with Our Stars event, proudly presented by FirstBank. At this inspiring celebration, each candidate delivers a speech sharing their personal story and vision for the future. A panel of judges selects one exceptional teen to represent all 25 Clubs at the state level. It’s an unforgettable evening where our young leaders shine bright!
This program is about so much more than recognition. It’s an opportunity for teens to earn college scholarships and grow their leadership and communication skills. These are skills that will guide them far beyond the walls of our Clubs and into their futures as confident, capable leaders.
We are so proud of this year’s Youth of the Year candidates. Each one represents the heart of our mission to change lives and prove it. Stay tuned as we introduce these incredible young leaders and share their inspiring stories!
Let’s celebrate their achievements together and cheer them on as they work toward even greater success.
In no particular order, please meet our Youth of the Year candidates.
