Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County is set to honor eight community members for various contributions.

The Club’s seventh annual Loudon County Leadership Hall of Fame dinner and banquet is set to begin with a VIP reception at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Venue at Lenoir City, with dinner at 6 p.m. and an induction ceremony at 7 p.m.

This year’s inductees are Barry Gordon as a business leader, Shauna Oden for community service, Gary Taft for military service, Marvin Feezell as an educator, Clayton Pangle for lifetime achievement, Sara Park as a youth mentor, Larry Hawk as visionary and Matt Brookshire for public service.

“This is a very special event to recognize the leaders in our community and encourage the young people in our club to be like the inductees,” Dean Deatheridge, Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County executive director, said. “Whether it be service in the military, our schools or for the good of our community, our club kids have great role models in all of these individuals being inducted.”

This year’s keynote speaker will be Rick Barnes, University of Tennessee men’s basketball coach. Alan Williams, WVLT anchor and reporter, will serve as master of ceremony.

“We are so excited to have coach Rick Barnes speak at this year’s Loudon County Leadership Hall of Fame,” Deatheridge said.
