Meet Ashtyn

“I think that all the staff here at the Club are super nice, I just don’t think that I can pick one favorite person,” explains 9-year-old Ashtyn, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Middlebrook Club. “All the staff care about us and they teach us that it’s important to care about each other and treat everyone with kindness because they could be going through something really hard that you don’t know about.

When I grow up, I would like to be a staff member at my Boys & Girls Club because I want to be able to teach young kids important things. I would do everything that our staff members do now, like helping kids with their homework and teaching them important life lessons, like being kind. I love that the staff help me with my homework. Reading can be hard for me, but they help me and I’m feeling more confident about reading.”
