Meet Wyatt, our amazing Youth of the Year candidate from Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County! We’re catching up with him as part of our special series following all of our YOY candidates. This journey is more than just a title—it’s a chance to grow, lead, and discover what it really means to be a voice for the Club. Let’s see what Wyatt’s learning along the way!

  • What was the most memorable part of your journey as your Club’s Youth of the Year?
    The essays and experiences
  • How has this experience helped you grow as a leader and a communicator?
    I got rid of a lot of social anxiety , not as nervous in front of big crowds.
  • What message did you want to share in your speech, and why was it important to you?
    The YouthForce internship helped me manage my time with also doing football.
  • How has your Club supported you on this journey, and what does it mean to you to represent them?
    My Club supported me by offering me a space to work and offered much needed support. It showed me how much faith had everyone me.
  • What advice would you give to future Youth of the Year candidates who want to follow in your footsteps?
    Be yourself put as much effort as possible into it, all the work seemed scary but it’s not really that bad.
