Meet Nova

“There are so many fun things to do at the Club,” explains 6 year-old Nova, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Claiborne County. “The staff always have cool activities planned for us, so that we’re never bored. During this summer, we were able to build volcanoes and then poured in some special ingredients and then they erupted – it was cool!

We also have a garden outside of our Club at the school. I like to visit the garden to watch the plants grow. We have strawberries, onions, tomatoes, carrots, green peppers, cabbage, and lettuce. Did you know that peppers start out green, then turn yellow, then orange, and then red? Did you also know that you can grow a tomato from just one rotten tomato seed?”
