Meet Cash

“The staff at the Club are all so nice,” explains 9-year-old Cash, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Claiborne County. “They talk to us about important things, like how to be a good person and how to make friends. They also help us out with homework and help us with fun STEM activities.

We had two really fun STEM activities that I thought were the best. The first one was creating a volcano – that was really cool. The other activity was making a pop bottle erupt. We took bottles of Coca-Cola and Cherry Dr. Pepper and put Mentos in them. We put plain Mentos and fruit flavored Mentos in them. The plain ones really made the soda fizz up a lot more than the fruit flavored ones!”
