Meet Braylee

“Ms. Ashlyn is the best teacher in the world!” exclaims 11-year-old Braylee, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Soldiers Memorial Middle School Club. “She is so nice and so sweet – she never gets mad and is so patient. She always takes the time to listen to me and really makes me feel like I’m important.

At the Club, we get to cook and I think my favorite thing to cook is spaghetti. What makes the spaghetti super tasty is adding lots of spices to the sauce. My secret ingredient is crushed red pepper – it gives the sauce a little kick! I also like to add in oregano and lots of grated parmesan cheese. I’ve learned a lot about cooking at the Club.”
