Meet Lamar

“I’d have to say that the games room is my favorite room in the Club,” says 7 year-old Lamar, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Blount County. “It has a really cool virtual reality game that I like to play. When I play it, I’m always moving and jumping around, and I like that I get my energy out by playing it!

When I grow up I would like to be a police officer. I think it’s important to help protect people. At the Club, the staff teach us that it’s important to follow the rules in order to keep everyone safe. I think that’s true in life, which is why I want to be a police officer.”
