Meet Camilla

“We have so many books at the Club to read,” says 6-year-old Camilla, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Blount County. “I like being able to just go to the education room and pick out a book to sit quietly somewhere and read. I love stories about Princesses – like Cinderella. That was a very fun book to read!

We do some really fun activities at the Club too, like the other day we did Around the Globe. This is a super fun program where a staff member teaches us about a different place around the globe – this time it was Spain. We learned about what languages people speak in that country, what types of houses they live in, and what kind of food they eat. It’s really cool to learn about other places in the world and to see if they are very different from us.”
