Meet Alyiah

“The Club has a lot of books that we can read, it’s like our own little library,” says 11 year-old Alyiah, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Fort Craig Club. “I really love to read, so I think it’s great that there’s always a new and exciting book for me to read at the Club. Plus we have nice cozy areas to curl up and read, like bean bag chairs.

When I grow up, I would like to be a teacher, just like the teachers we have at the Club. They are all so nice and they teach us important things like how to be kind and share things. I really love kids and I think I have a lot of patience, so that would help me to be a good teacher.”
