Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley is proud to announce its completion of the CLUB STEM program. Funded by the Arconic Foundation, 205 Boys & Girls members participated in hands on STEM activities from the following club sites: Fort Craig, DeBusk, Haslam, Lonsdale, Middlebrook, Montgomery Village, North Ridge Crossing, Northwest, Norwood, Regal Teen Center, South Knox, Vestal, Walter P Taylor, and Western Heights. The program was established to support a fundamental foundation of scientific concepts utilizing hands on applications. The activities of the CLUB STEM model provide continued support and enrichment of the conceptual strands of the science curriculum.
The generosity of the Arconic Foundation also provided support for workforce development programming within the YouthForce program. The funds assisted in the completion of STEM related internships and Engineering, Welding, Nursing, and Criminal Justice technical training camps.
