Meet Sophie

“Moana is my favorite Disney princess,” explains 8 year-old Sophie, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Clinton Community Center Club. “I love that she isn’t afraid to be herself and goes after what she wants. The Club teaches us to be like Moana – to be proud of who we are and to not be afraid to try new things.

Another great thing about the Club is that they feed us when we arrive after school, because I’m usually pretty hungry by the time I get to the Club. The food is really good and it keeps me full until I go home, plus it gives me the energy to play basketball with my friends in the gym at the Club!”
