Why Boys & Girls Clubs: Grateful is an understatement when I think about the potential of being able to marry my passion for children with my classroom experience to better support the youth of Anderson County during after school hours. I am confident that with a passionate trained team coupled with community support, we can create a safe environment and be a positive influence in our members’ lives.

Why Boys & Girls Clubs?: To allow children to gain a sense of belonging and provide a safe place to go after school and during breaks. Not only do we get to connect with the kids on a daily basis, but we’re able to connect with their parents/guardians and it gives them assurance knowing their child is being taken care of and given an opportunity to succeed. With children it takes a “village” and if we are a small piece of that, it’s worth it all!
