Meet Avyn

“I learned how to cheer at the Club!” exclaims 8-year-old Avyn, a member of Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County. “The staff created a Cheer Club, and I was really happy to be a part of it. They taught us a lot about cheering, including how important teamwork is and how to work on our self-confidence. It takes a lot to go out and cheer in front of a crowd – sometimes it can be scary. But I learned that my teammates on my cheer squad are right there next to me, and that makes me feel better. We had so much fun cheering for our basketball team!

Miss Allison is the best! She plans really fun activities for us and is super funny. But what I like best about her is that she is very respectful to all of us kids. She talks kindly to us and I know that she cares about all of us.”
