Meet Mayrin

“Arts and crafts time at the Club is so much fun,” says 8-year-old Mayrin, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Blount County. “I like that I get to be super creative in the arts and crafts room! My favorite things to draw are pictures of animals and my favorite types of food.

The Education room is also really great at the Club. I like how I can go in there and get help with my homework every day. Right now I think that math is my hardest subject because we’re learning all about multiplication. It can be confusing, but when I get one-on-one help with my homework, the staff go over the problems with me and then it makes sense.”
