Meet Jalaya

“I love everything about my Boys & Girls Club,” exclaims 10-year-old Jalaya, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Western Heights Club. “The staff are all so nice! Mr. Dariyon is really good at marbles and he’s taught me a lot. Ms. Ronda, our music teacher, sings so beautifully and helps us to be better singers, and Ms. Linda is just so sweet and so nice! They all make it so much fun to come to the Club.

When I grow up I would like to be a famous basketball player. It’s nice that we have such a big gym and we have time every day to practice basketball. I hope that I can be a professional and make lots of money, so that I can help my mom with everything she’s ever needed and especially everything that she’s ever wanted in life.”
