Meet Abby

“Sewing Club is the absolute best!” exclaims 10 year-old Abby, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Fort Craig Club. “Every Friday, Mr. Timmy comes in and offers Sewing Club. I’ve learned how to cut patterns, use a sewing machine and even how to sew by hand. I made a pillow in Sewing Club and I keep it on my bed – it’s so pretty and comfortable too!”

My brother and my sister also attend the Club, and my parents are really happy that we have a nice place to go after school and during the summers. My parents say it’s a safe place to be and they’re thankful for the Club.”
