Meet Kylah

“The Club is such a fun place to come to,” says 10 year-old Kylah, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – North Ridge Crossing Club. “Everyone here is really nice and they always plan stuff for us to have fun. Even when we’re doing an activity that teaches us something, they work hard to make sure we enjoy what we’re doing.

Just the other week, Mr. Joshua taught us about how watersheds affect the environment. We each created our own watershed using paper with colored markers and a spray bottle. Doing this activity taught me that when we put harmful things on land, such as pesticides, the rain washes it into our water supply and can be really bad for the world.”
