Arby’s Foundation grant to provide renovations to Arts Room and Education Room

The Arby’s Foundation believes every kid deserves to dream big and pursue their dreams with confidence. Thanks to their generous grant, we’re able do whatever it takes to build great futures.

With this grant, we’ll be making renovations to our Arts Room and Education Room at our Vestal Club. Arts go hand in hand with education. The developmental benefits of art are many.

Such as:

• Motor skills – Many of the motions that it takes to create art (holding a paintbrush, drawing with crayons) are essential to the growth of fine motor skills in young children.
• Language development – Making art and talking about it provide opportunities to learn words for color, shapes, and actions.
• Decision making – According to a report by Americans for the Arts, art education strengthens problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
