“Miss Charity says I’m her special helper,” says six year-old Paityn, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – North Anderson County Club. “I love to be helpful and my favorite time at the Club is when I’m reading books with Miss Charity!

I also really like when we do arts & crafts. One time we made a watermelon fan, which was a paper plate cut in half, attached to a popsicle stick. Then I colored it to look like a watermelon. It was super pretty and it cooled me off when I fanned myself.”
