Partnership with Tennessee Theatre Provides Amazing Opportunities

Samyah, a member of the Regal Teen Center and a participant in the Youth Arts Initiative Theatre Arts Class, was beyond thrilled when offered the opportunity to speak with a broadway star! Samyah participated in a workshop with the lead of the Broadway touring production of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. Brittny Smith, who plays the character of Diva Donna in the show, conducted a one-on-one session with Samyah, where they discussed vocal technique, stage presence, and careers in show business.

This amazing opportunity was made possible by the partnership Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley has with the Tennessee Theatre. As part of their Arts Education Program, the Tennessee Theatre reached out to our Youth Arts Initiative staff to coordinate this opportunity, for which we are very grateful.
