Meet Henley

“Decimals – those are really hard to understand,” says 11-year-old Henley, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Anderson County. “We’re studying decimals in math class right now and it’s pretty confusing. That’s probably why I like the homework help sessions at the Club – the staff sit with me and help me with my homework. It’s nice to be able to ask questions because I don’t really like to ask questions at school in my class.

When I grow up I’m thinking about joining the Air Force. My dad was a Marine and is really proud of how he served his country. My Uncle flies planes, so I kind of think combining what my Uncle does and something that my Dad really enjoyed doing might be a good life for me.”
