Meet Micah

“Someone asked me who my favorite staff member was at the Club and I told them that ALL of the staff are my favorite, because they are all so great!” exclaims 9-year-old Micah, a member of Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County. “The staff really care about us. They are there to listen to us, help us if we have problems, and they always plan super fun activities.

One of the most fun activities at the Club is the rock climbing wall. I was pretty scared the very first time I climbed the wall, because it’s pretty high. But the staff put a helmet on me and made sure that I was in the safety harness nice and tight. They let me go really slow and at my own pace, and the whole time they were telling me how great I was doing and they were proud of me for conquering my fears. It really gave me the confidence to climb to the top!”
