Meet Emily

“I made a really cute puppet at the Club the other day!” exclaims 8 year-old Emily, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley – Claiborne County. “The staff helped us make some fun puppets out of lots of different materials, and then we got to put googly eyes on them! My puppet is so cute and I gave him a mouth so that he could talk during our puppet show!

The Club also has a really nice corner that has a whole lot of books that we can read. We have super comfy chairs and bean bag chairs that we can sit in while we read. This is one of my favorite areas of the Club because I just love to read. When I grow up, I think I want to be a teacher, because then I could help kids, just like the staff at the Club help us.”
