We’re grateful to Angela Benton for visiting our Club members.

Club members created original artwork representing influential Black STEM icons for UScellular®‘s Black History Art Contest. One of the icons chosen was technologist, Angela Benton. Currently, as CEO and Board Director of Streamlytics, Angela leads an innovative, next generation data technology company that is transforming how enterprises access and leverage cookieless 1st-party consumer data. We had the honor of her visiting two of our Clubs and speaking to our Club members. Thank you for helping us build great futures.

About Angela (content from angelabenton.co):

Angela Benton is a senior technology executive, Board Director, and Founder. Her strategic intersectional leadership across business, product innovation, and data technology delivers first-to-market solutions and re-innovates existing products across digital/technology companies.

Angela provides companies and boards an authentic understanding of under-represented communities, technology product innovation, and data strategy as it applies to how a company’s corporate strategy, products, and business models deliver market share growth and competitive advantage. She is an award-winning thought leader on democratizing access to technologies and ecosystems – delivering direct impact, having been a catalyst for a culture shift across the tech industry by partnering across businesses, industries, VCs, entrepreneurs, and customers.

Angela’s product innovation and brand positioning expertise has continuously delivered first-of-its-kind B2B and B2C products to market – with keen expertise in serving minority and African American consumers. As Founder and CEO of NewME, the first accelerator globally for minorities, Angela built a well known brand in technology and entrepreneurship by leveraging storytelling and media including the CNN Special, “Black in America” by award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien – to aggressively position the brand as a market leader and build the company’s trademark and intellectual property assets, resulting in the company’s acquisition in 2018. She successfully created authentic ‘win-win’ partnerships with some of the world’s leading technology companies like Google, HP, Twitter, and Facebook.

Additionally, through her work at NewME she achieved both measurable – $47MM in VC funding raised, and immeasurable impact – diversifying the technology industry. Her skill for identifying and growing talent has led to some of the industry’s most successful venture capital investors at legendary firms such as Andreessen Horowitz, Kapor Capital, TEDCo, and others.
