Bart McFadden has a long history of service to youth through Boys & Girls Clubs and other youth organizations. Bart, who attended Boys & Girls Clubs in Johnson City, TN as a youngster, began his full time Boys & Girls Club career in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2002, where he opened a new middle school Club site as the Club’s Director. From there Bart worked in Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s national office with the FITNESS Authority program from 2003-2004. Following completion of his Master’s Degree in 2005, Bart returned to full-time Boys & Girls Club work in 2006, as the director of the Walt Disney World Boys & Girls Club, part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. While in this role, he developed programming that was recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a National Honor Award winning program in 2009. He also served as an Area Director in Central Florida, before moving to Las Vegas to open a new Club in spring 2011.
Bart took over Boys & Girls Clubs of West Georgia in April 2012 as the organization’s Chief Professional Officer. While serving in this role, he led an organizational transformation effort that took the organization from serving 400 kids in 2012 to more than 1,000 in 2015 and saw an increase in average daily attendance from 160 in 2012 to 350 in 2015. Additionally, the organization expanded capacity with the acquisition of operating control of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chambers County, AL in 2015.
Bart has served on multiple national and state committees with Boys & Girls Clubs, such as the 2015 National Conference Planning Committee, the Peach State Chapter of The Professional Association, and the Georgia Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree from East Tennessee State University.
