On Friday August 5th at 12pm, the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek will present The Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley with a check for $10,000. The presentation will take place at the Boys and Girls beautiful new center located at 967 Irwin Street just outside of downtown Knoxville. In attendance will be Boys and Girls Club CEO Bart McFadden and VP Ernie Brooks.
The donated monies were raised from the concert series, The Sounds of Summer, which was held every Thursday in June at the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek. Each week the series brought in a different artist and offered attendees free entry. Contributions were raised through sales of concessions, raffled giveaways, in-kind donations and with the help of our dedicated sponsors: Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, Turkey Creek, US Cellular, Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Graphic Creations, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Zoes Kitchen, WBIR, Q100.3 and more.
“The Sounds of Summer 2016 was a huge success. We measure success with meeting goals and our goal at the Pinnacle was to raise $10,000 for the Boys and Girls Club. We look forward to a continued partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and to provide the community with more family friendly events such as this!” says Marketing Manager of the Pinnacle at Turkey Creek, Kristen Bridgers.
