LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (February 24, 2016) – Local organization opens its blue doors during annual National Boys & Girls Club Week.
Boys & Girls Club of Loudon County is joining other Boys & Girls Clubs across the country for the annual celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week, March 7-12, 2016.
On Thursday, March 10, the Lenoir City Club will open its blue doors to the community for visitors to learn how the Club helps Loudon County’s kids achieve great futures by providing a safe haven after school and during the summer.
“We’ve had some big changes at our Club over the past several months that we are really excited about,” said Executive Director, Shawn Snyder. “We would love for the Loudon community to come out to see the renovations and how they are impacting the youth and teens we serve.”
Building renovations include a new music room “Aaron’s Room” provided by the Aaron Douglas Foundation, featuring state-of-the-art sound equipment and a recording booth. To increase tutoring, the facility now has an expanded education room, as well as a private space to meet with parents. The gym floor also received new paint and lines.
